Introduction

GameBox is developed by AppXplora ("we", "our", "us"). This policy explains what data GameBox uses, how it is used, and your choices. It applies to app features including sign-in, profile setup, friends, multiplayer matches, and chat.

Data We Collect in Cloud Services

When you use online features, we store data in Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, including:

  • Account data: email address, authentication provider, and user ID (UID)
  • Profile data: display name, optional avatar image, age, favorite game, and unique in-app game ID
  • Social data: friend requests, friends list, game invites, online status, and last-seen timestamps
  • Multiplayer data: match state, player assignment/team info, and in-game chat messages

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

GameBox also stores gameplay and preferences locally using device storage (SharedPreferences), such as profile settings, streaks, missions, themes, and some game progress/statistics.

How We Use Data

We use data to:

  • Create and secure your account
  • Provide email verification and password reset
  • Sync your profile across devices
  • Enable friends, invites, multiplayer gameplay, and chat
  • Keep game sessions consistent (turns, teams, match status)
  • Provide core app functionality and quality improvements

Third-Party Services

GameBox uses Firebase Authentication (Google), Cloud Firestore (Google), and Google Sign-In. GameBox does not currently use third-party ad SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs. The Stockfish chess engine runs on-device.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only as needed to run the service:

  • With Google Firebase services that process your account and database records
  • With other players in multiplayer contexts (display name, avatar, online status, and chat)

Retention and Deletion

Cloud records are retained while your account is active. Local data remains on your device until removed.

You can request account and associated cloud-data deletion by emailing us at Farhanappdev@gmail.com. We target completion within 7 business days.
